Topaz pendant 2

Description

My new large and insanely complex pendant :la: :typerhappy:

The left side is a bit more streamlined and somewhat angular to follow the shape of the tourmalinated quartz nugget and the right side is wavy and curved, like liquid metal going around the beautiful faceted topaz

I made the bezel for the topaz completely by hand and soldered it to the curvy backing (sterling and fine silver)

The colors complement each other nicely, the topaz is light peach pink and goes great with the slightly olive-greenish tourmalinated quartz nugget which is perfect with his fellow stones - pink and watermelon tourmalines

Size: 82x30mm (3.28x1.2")
Bail: can accommodate chains up to 6mm thick
Gemstones used:
- 1 faceted round light peach pink imperial topaz 7.5mm diam., ~2.3cts
- 8 shaded pink watermellon tourmaline rondelles (they have some green in them but i turned them the other way so that the green doesn't disrupt the color flow)
- 4 dark berry pink-red tourmaline rondelles 3x2 - 5x3mm
- 1 faceted tourmalinated quartz nugget 14x13mm (has 1 small nick on the left edge - see photo #3)

Material: sterling and fine silver, oxidized and highly polished
The pendant is hollow to reduce it's weight and make it comfortable to wear (=stepping on it would be very, very bad :slow: )

I wish i had a video camera to show you the mirror polish and how this pendant sparkles when it moves :aww:

I really like this style, do you know of anyone that has a tutorial to teach it?
