Description

Available here: www.etsy.com/listing/201652733…

A very large and shiny pendant featuring one big tanzanite cabochon and four smaller faceted gemstones. The bottom part is dark and with a lot of wire work, the middle part is transitional (has both thick shiny parts and wrapped, dark parts) towards the minimalist and bright, shiny top. The stones are also arranged by saturation - the intensely blue kyanite facets are on the bottom, the lighter tanzanite is in the middle and white zircon facets are on the top.

I am no expert in this particular case but i think the left side of the tanzanite has a decent cats eye effect. If i'm right this is the first cats eye tanzanite i worked with :D The right side is normal. It also has some inclusions; it is not a perfect stone. You can see all the imperfections in the photos, they are all hi res and i haven't edited any of the flaws out. The only thing i ever do to the photos is crop, remove dust and fix the colors so that the photo looks like the actual piece (i suck at photography and get a lot of weird colors and have to adjust them later :/ ).

There is also a video of the pendant here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEQUJy…
You can almost see the cats eye effect on the left side of the stone. I'll try to capture it better in a new video. You can also see that i suck at shooting videos and do not know how to make them look normal XD

Size: 80 x 33mm (3.2x1.32")
Bail: can accommodate chains up to 5mm thick
Gemstones used:
- 1 polished tanzanite cabochon (possibly cats eye tanzanite) - 20.5 x 15.5mm, 31.28ct, from Tanzania
- 2 faceted oval kyanites - 6 x 4mm, 0.69ct each, from Sri Lanka
- 2 faceted round zircons - 4 x 2.3mm, 0.34ct each, from Cambodia

Material: sterling and fine silver, oxidized and highly polished
The pendant is hollow to reduce it's weight and make it comfortable to wear (=stepping on it would be very, very bad) :)

The way you use proper stone settings really distinguishes your stuff from other wire-wrapped jewelry. Heart  One of many big, subtle differences.
